WHAT IS THIS DRUG AND WHY IS IT PRESCRIBED?​
Invokana - canagliflozin is a sodium glucose contransporter-2 (SGLT2) inhibitor prescribed to lower blood sugar levels in people diagnosed with Type II Diabetes. 

Other SGLT2 inhibitors include:
Farxiga - dapagliflozin
Xigduo XR dapagliflozin and metformin extended-release
Jardiance - empagliflozin
Glyxambi - empagliflozin and Tradjenta (linagliptin)

DRUG SIDE EFFECTS:
